The primary purpose of CASI is to characterize asthma care within the Chicago area, with specific focus on emergency departments, hospitals, primary and specialty physician practices, managed care organizations, pharmacists, and persons with and without asthma. This project aims to establish a method for monitoring change in asthma care over time, and to disseminate this information to organizations within the Chicago Asthma Consortium and the larger Chicago area.
